It’s generally advised to eat meat no more then two or three times a week.

This is definitely something that is under discussion a lot lately. As Marcello said 3 times a week is okay. For the days we don’t eat meat we need to make sure that we are getting enough nutrients that we would otherwise get in meat. These include iron and protein and we need to make sure we eat enough other foods to prevent us from getting deficiencies that could stop our body working optimally. Peas beans, nuts and lentils are good sources of protein, while leafy green veg are also a good source of iron.
