Pasta is made from grain which has many nutrients in common with rice.
In general pasta has few carbohydrates but more proteins so it’s a bit better.

Rice is a grain itself, where as pasta is made from wheat grains that have been milled to flour, had water or egg added and rolled in to pasta. Whole grain rice and pasta include the whole rice or wheat grain whereas white rice and pasta have the outer bran removed, which contains a lot of fibre.

Pasta and rice are similar, but they are just made up of different grains. They both are good sources of carbohydrates, which is what the body needs for energy.
