Because I grew up on a dairy farm in New Zealand and there is very bad media in New Zealand about how ‘bad’ cows are for the environment without much research to back that up. It has made NZ dairy farming have a bad name which shouldn’t happen. Therefore I want to study cows gas to try and reduce cows impact on climate change but also I want to help my family and many other farming families feel like they are doing an amazing job! As majority are doing all that they can to improve water quality, improve animal welfare and reduce greenhouse house emissions.
