They are similar. It is a choice of preference, either choice is a very nutritious drink choice. There are more cows milked in Ireland than goats, so it is easier to get cows milk. Overall goats milk has smaller fat globules and less sugar, making it easier to digest. Goats milk has more calcium, potassium and vitamin A than cows milk, but cows milk has more vitamin B12, selenium, folic acid and natural sugar, which are important for growing children and teenagers.
Nutritionally Goats milk is a good source of protein, contains less sugar (lactose), 13% more calcium, 25% more vitamin B6, 47% more vitamin A, and 134% more potassium than regular cow’s milk. However, Goat milk is definitely different than cows milk. It is strong in flavor that may take some time to get used to.
