• Question: Why are animals carnivores and herbivores? Why don't we eat the same things?

      If we eat all the same thing there would be a fierce competition leading to a potential mass extinction.
      This situation can happen in nature and it’s never stable.

      They all eat different things so that there is enough for everyone. If all animals ate one plant or one animal, then before long they would eat all of it, and there would be none of it left. Then all the animals would die of starvation as there would be none of the one thing they ate.

      Because we evolved to be able to eat both plants and meat
