      I think because our work contribute to the food security whether by experimenting on cows and their milk or detecting DNA or studying the gut microbiome or generating resistant crops. We all are working towards one common goal that is provide healthy food for a healthy life.

      I think because my work helps improve safety and quality in the dairy industry by understanding the bacteria present in the production areas.

      I develop new methods to identify microbes in foods. If we have better understanding of what is there we can help prevent food poisoning and stop foods from going off before they should.
