Distaste for some kind food is caused by your sensibility to certain flavour (expecially with some vegetables), bad past experience, and from your country gastronomic taste
It might be due to past experience or sensitivity to certain textures, smells or tastes. It’s my experience though that I begin to like the foods I once disliked, like some vegetables. It might have just been the way it was cooked or presented previously.
I am not sure I think it can be a mixture of our sense of smell, texture and taste buds. If we have had a bad experience previously, I think that the smell or thought of a food can bring back these bad sensations, even if we forget what the bad experience was.
