      Hi, that is a very interesting question! Your eye color doesn’t really affect how clearly you see things. BUT the amount of pigmentation in your eye can affect you in some situations. Melanin is the pigment that produces dark eye colors. If you have dark eye color that means you are more adapted to living in very sunny environments because the melanin acts as natural sunshades in your eye protecting you from glaring bright light.  Lighter eye colors do not have that protection because more harmful UV from the sun can pass through the eyes, which increases a person’s risk for developing eye diseases like macular degeneration or cataracts. This is a reason why people living in northern areas with lower sunlight evolved to develop lighter eye colors because there is less sunlight there to begin with whereas people living in hot sunny countries tend to have darker eyes and skin 🙂 Hope that helped.
