• Question: what did you get in your leaving certification

      Hi Adam! I didn’t do Leaving cert as I wasn’t in Ireland till I finished high school. I did O and A levels instead and got my grades converted (or equalized to LC) to get into college here. But I don’t know my exact LC points to be honest, as they didn’t tell me that. They just wanted A-level students to have straight A’s for the course I chose which was human genetics at TCD.

      Hi Adam! I got 410 points in my leaving cert and I took all honors subjects

    Hey Adam! I got 410 points in the leaving certificate and I took all my subjects at honors level. I received an honor in all subjects, except math! I have always been good at math and I still am, I think I got too nervous on the day! So never worry if you slip up in one subject, it doesn’t define your future and you can always go back and try again.

    I was very lucky at the time, as my course in UCD (science omnibus) was 380 points. The years after, science became more and more popular and the points for this course shot up!
