Since I was younger, I was always really curious/nosy about things, how they worked and where they came from. It wasn’t obvious to me then that perhaps science could provide most of those answers. It was only really once I went to secondary school that I realised I really enjoyed science class, particularly biology class, and I realised it wasn’t all about just learning things off by heart all the time, you could ask questions and investigate new things too.
I’ve absolutely loved learning about things ever since I was a little snotty-nosed kid. I used to read encyclopaedias for fun! But after a while, you start to wonder about the things that aren’t written down in books. What about the things we don’t know anything about yet? That’s where science comes in! Because in science you get to help write the the encyclopaedia! You add to the knowledge we have about our world! My teacher in school really helped me with this by always encouraging me to question things. Is there such thing as a fact?! How can you actually “prove” something…..?
