physics is understanding of the universe; it’s the discovery of the ‘programming language’ the universe is written in and how that language can be used to explain ALL phenomena therein
It’s about finding a mathematical model which matches how the universe works. The strangest thing is that this appears to work – behind everything we see, from the biggest to the smallest, there is usually a very short equation which lets you understand it. Why the universe appears to follow such simple rules is one of the biggest questions in science.
