I know very little about this kind of thing, particularly about antimatter. But, one of the fundamental laws of physics says that energy (and matter is a types energy – I think) can not be created nor destroyed.
I think the physicists can help put me right or wrong here… Shane? Aggelos?
I’m also not a physicist…but I think that what you’re talking about are antiparticles, which are found in SUPER hot environments – like when our universe was being created…in these kinds of conditions, matter and antimatter can collide and be destroyed. I think this produces energy. But the others might be able to explain better 🙂
