• Question: Is it possible to actually get to the end of a rainbow?

      Yes! but it depends on how you make the rainbow. A rainbow is the ‘dispersion’ of white light into its constituent colours as a result of the light moving through a raindrop. When you see a rainbow in the sky, you have to be positioned correctly with the sun to your back and the rainbow ahead of you.

      You could make one at home using a fine spray hose on a bright day (watch closely) or in a bottle (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006021109444)

      Next time you see a rainbow in the sky, look for the secondary rainbow above it. http://www.atoptics.co.uk/rainbows/sec.htm

      I wish! Especially if there was a pot of gold at the end of it.

      But Shane’s right – it depends on how you’re making the rainbow.

      I saw this photo – not sure if its real or not (you know what people are like with Photoshop these days!), but if its really its pretty awesome
