• Question: Do you think anyone will be able to take the space elevator when it is done?

      Hi Theo,

      most certainly! It may not be a touristy thing as the scientific and economic demand will be too high, but we’ll definitely use it to bring astronauts into space (and probably some big shots like various presidents or CEOs of big companies). The key words are “when it is done” though, as I really don’t think that will be anytime soon…

      Hi Theo,

      You would definitely need training to go up and there will probably be a limit on how many people get to use it. But in principle the idea is that anyone could go up the space elevator. In the same way that anyone can be president. Technically you could if you work hard and get very lucky, but the likelihood might be very low.
