      Hi Cathal, thank you for your question.

      To be honest with you, I do not know. They are both incredibly complex theories that are still in their very early stages, it has to be said. Any theory at this scale is going to be very hard to test and prove so the answer could be strings or it could be loops or it could be something we haven’t even thought of yet. The important thing is that we keep questioning and searching and applying science to these massive questions of Life, The Universe, and Everything.
