      I would like to use the money to set up a science – student pen pal programme. I’ve had so much fun speaking with you all during IaS and it would be really neat to make a longer programme where we get to talk a bit more. 🙂 Basically, scientists and students would be matched up and send letters to each other.

      If I win I would set up a science programme with the National Council for the Blind (NCBI) faster! My youngest sister is blind and she found science really hard as a lot of it is pictures and you have to see things in order to understand. So she found it very hard to understand science and does not do it as a leaving cert subject because of this. So I would like to set up a programme so that children who are blind can visit the NCBI and learn about science using models of the heart and the brain and cells! And also science teachers can visit as well so they get new ideas on how to teach science so that every student in their class can understand it!
