      I think if I wanted to keep a parasite as a pet, I’d keep a Cymothoa exigua. They’re little bugs that bite off the tongue of a fish, and then clamp down on the fish’s tongue stump, functioning as the fish’s tongue for the rest of their lives. So I’d get a happy fish and a happy parasite as pets, which would be great! There’s a cool video about them here:
