      They are usually bacteria or viruses which can be spread by droplets or touch.

      Exactly like Bernard said! so if you vomit and don’t wash your hands after and then touch the door handle, or the couch, or the tv remote you can leave tiny drop of the bacteria or virus behind that are still alive and then they end up on another person when that person touches the dorr handle or couch or remote!!

      Bernard and Sonia have got it! Depending on the type of stomach bug (baterial or viral) different things can pass it along. Some can only live in spit or blood, some can live in the air, and some can live on other surfaces. Whenever someone’s sick, it’s important to take care of them and make sure you wash your hands really well so you don’t catch it, too.
