      Hi @962ntrd43,
I suppose you probably went to the coast and saw the nice sea… what a vast place with waves. The sea can be calm, when there is no wind…. However, when there is a storm, the sea can get rough with big waves (I do like going for a breeze on the coat when it is stormy 🙂 ).

The wind is essential to create big waves; it does “push” water on the sea surface, and then creating the big waves.

You can also have several waves combining their Energy to create a bigger wave! A simplified example (and not too exact) can be illustrated when you are next to a sea wall: a wave is coming to the wall, reflects to the wall, and mix with another coming wave. it just get bigger.
