• Question: Is it hard being a scientist?

      When you love what you do it isn’t hard. I went to college to study for my job and I also learned as I went along in my job, I had many great trainers along the way. If you do the study and train then your job is enjoyable and NOT hard.

      Yeah, you do have to think and focus a lot, which can be hard. Once you get used to it, it’s easier.

      And it can be really, really worth it. That feeling of having done something yourself, or yourselves. And getting it done properly, and so that it fits in with everything else. I think that feeling is hard to explain.

      Being a scientist can be hard sometimes, but then so is learning how to ride a bike when you first try to do it.

      Every time you run an experiment (even when it doesn’t work) you learn something. Then the next time you run that experiment you try something a little different 🙂 Sometimes it can take a lot of work to get it to work.. But when it does finally work it’s such an amazing feeling. You get such a sense of accomplishment when all the hard work pays off.

      You can define scientist as the person who as passion towards science and willing to carry on experiments with new and innovative ways. Most of the time the results are failures. But once you get the success the satisfaction is more than anything else.

      So any one can be a scientist, provided you patience, enthusiasm and self motivation.

      If you want to learn, ask questions and discover …. it will not be hard to be a scientist.

      The hard thing as being a Scientist is that, I have to recognise, I do not know everything… There is so much to learn and discover in many discipline.

      As soon as you ask a question, you make a big step as a Scientist.
