Hi, Great Q,
I’m the “boss” in my department so maybe I have some nicknames that I don’t know about!!
I’m president of our professional body and I sometimes get Hey Pres or even “Michael D”, I hope He doesn’t mind.
In my personal life I get called Rene a lot.

Friends call me spike. Many others call me U-day.. and really closed ones dont use name at all they address me with the word which comes to there mind first.. 😛 . hahaha…

For colleague, if they want to make a joke, they say Dr. Casaubieilh. ^^

They are formed by various combinations of keyboard characters and used in electronic communications to convey the writer’s feelings or intended tone 🙂
