Molten rock wins this one…. However acids can get pretty hot too when they react! Chemical reactions can be exothermic (which means they release heat) or endothermic (they absorb heat) when they happen.
If you added water to a strong acid you would get a very exothermic reaction.. This is why you NEVER add water to the acid, only acid to water!!
