The Centre I work in (MaREI) contribute in and develop Renewable Energy projects. We also encourage government and public to look at alternative solutions for Energy Sources to oil, coal and nuclear. The governments are very important partners to bring technology to public.
Currently Wind, water, waves, bio-mass and sun are continuous source of Energy that can fit our demand of Energy. I would help the countries around the World to consider the elements surrounding them and to build systems to get the best out of them.
I think you need to change people’s minds. And the most important people to do that with at the moment are the people that run countries – politicians. They have the power to tax carbon, to promote renewable energies.
They usually don’t want to see their country lose money or business, but they should understand that the risks of doing nothing will cost much more in the long run.
I’d love to wave a magic wand and fix all the problems like global warming and pollution but magic wands don’t exist.
I think the most important thing is for people to be responsible for minding their carbon footprint and for the governments of the world to help people to be responsible by having the facilities to recycle, having good pubic transport to reduce the amount of cars people drive and by investing in green renewable energy.
I would educate and motivate people to recycle and reuse.
Using renewable energy is one major step towards stopping global warming.
Meat consumption also has big impact on greenhouse gasses, according to a 2006 report by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), to produce one pound of meat the cattle has to be fed 4 pounds of feed.
We should all do our little bit to stop global warming or the change in our climate!!!. Walking or cycling whenever you can, turning off lights when they are not needed,
Most of the rubbish we throw away can be recycled, such as glass bottles and jars, steel and aluminium cans, plastic bottles and waste paper.
Other sources of energy could be used which do not emit carbon dioxide, e.g. wind power, solar (sun power) and wave power.
In the home and at school, we must learn to use energy efficiently and not waste it and not cause global warming.
