      I have a slight case of claustrophobia – I really don’t like very small, enclosed places. You know those movie scenes where someone has to get into a vent to crawl around? That is a literal nightmare for me.

      I don’t have any proper phobias thank goodness, but I don’t really like moths or crane flies!

      I don’t like talking in public and becoming the centre of attention. Which is a problem with this job, where you have to lecture (sometimes to 400 students!) and to present your results at conferences. So each time I prepare a lot and try to overcome my phobia!
