• Question: How does the body heal so quickly

      That’s a tough one to answer, would need to be better at medicine!
      In any case I’ve noticed my body doesn’t heal as fast now that I’m older.
      Also, when I was smoking, cuts on my skin would take ages to heal. Now that I’ve stopped it’s gotten back to normal. Smoking is bad for so many things!

      I’m not a biologist, but I believe that the key to healing (cuts and bruises anyway) is the platelets in our blood. They clump together and clot to stop bleeding, and can also help with inflammation. The process is way more complex than that though, and involves many other factors, but unfortunately I don’t know the details!
