Hiya,
It took me 5 years to get my primary degree (it’s a 5 year course…I didn’t repeat any years). The first 2 years were done in the CIT in Cork followed by a years internship in Cork university hospital with my final 2 years being in UCC. I then had a certificate in medical laboratory science and a double honours degree in biomedical Science and advanced immunology. My masters degree took 2 years to complete and my postgraduate diploma in health service management took a year. In total 8 Years!
In addition as a scientist (whether research or medical like me) you are continously learning and reading and researching. I have completed see real specialised courses over the years in malaria diagnosis, leukaemia diagnosis, haematology analysers etc etc.
Every day is a schoolday in my job?
