I think there is definitely life on other planets, but I’m not sure if it’s intelligent!
There are so many stars in the Universe, and we know now that most stars host at least one planet, that chances are life has evolved somewhere else. But if it’s intelligent, how come we haven’t heard from it? SETI (the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) has been listening to the skies for decades, with no results (except for the WOW! signal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal), so where is everyone?
This is called the Fermi Paradox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox), and is an outstanding problem in astronomy. Perhaps you’ll be the person to solve it some day.
