A lot of their food lacks a proper vitamin balance, so unless you also took a careful amount of vitamin pills, you would probably be unhealthy pretty fast. That said, food is food, but McDonalds is very high in calories, like any fast food. If you made sure to only eat enough calories for the day, you could probably eat McDonalds for a while. But you’d be hungry, as you wouldn’t need to eat as much to reach your daily amount.
It would be very very bad for your health, although I’m not sure how exactly it would affect your life expectancy! There’s actually a movie called ‘Super Size Me’ about a guy who did eat nothing but McDonald’s for 30 days, and he saw a dramatic effect on both his physical and mental health: he gained a lot of weight, and experienced mood swings among other problems. There are some doubts over whether the movie was completely accurate in its portrayal though, and it should be noted that the guy also stopped all forms of exercise, which would seriously effect the outcome, but in general, McDonald’s food (and pretty much all other fast food) contains too much sugar, salt and saturated fat, and not enough protein, fibre and vitamins. This makes it unsuitable to eat as an everyday food, however, if you’re living a pretty balanced lifestyle where you eat fairly healthy and do a bit of exercise, the odd meal from McDonald’s isn’t going to be too bad for you!
