Do you mean when she’s giving birth? The best have to be the anaesthetics injected through the epidural. They make everything below your back go numb, and then there’s no pain at all! That’s a big help alright.
I’m afraid this definitely isn’t my area of expertise, as Michel said, there are drugs to help with pain when giving birth, epidural, and also what’s known as Etonox, or ‘gas and air’, which is a 50/50 mix of oxygen and nitrous oxide, which is a very effective painkiller.
Most drugs are not recommended for pregnant woman however if you are asking re painkillers whilst in labour, I can only speak from experience and not as an Expert! Epidural basically makes you numb from the injection site, usually lower back area. Allegedly makes you feel nothing…not my experience…it works for a while but you feel it…
Gas and air actually quite effective and enjoyable…
My personal favourite was pethidine injection…it to doesn’t really kill the pain but makes you very happy, drowsy and oblivious to the pain…
Just my experience ?
