About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at Insight, UCD, and VistaMilk SFI Research Centre. My work focuses on animal health, especially mastitis detection in dairy cows. I am also interested in Anomaly Detection and Time Series Analysis.

My Typical Day

I do almost all of my daily work with the aid of a computer, occasionally going through paper documents. Due to Covid-19, my current work desk is close to my bed, in my own bedroom. However, I'm even more eager to get back to the lab, because I can breathe in the fresh air, enjoy the summer breeze, and the warm winter sun on my way home and back to the lab. I look like a computer-obsessed kid when I'm working, and the computer is my best friend.

What I'd do with the prize money

To be honest, 500 euros won't improve my life, but it will enrich my life for the next few months. If I get this prize, I will register for all the online virtual conferences related to my research topic in 2021. Most of the conferences have been converted to online virtual conferences due to the Covid-19, but this is a great convenience for me, and I hope I can use this prize to increase my knowledge, meet some researchers who share my interests, and listen to their insights.
