      Actually, YES!

      Every country in lockdown saw improvement in traffic congestion and pollution levels.
      You can check your city using https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/traffic-index/

      This actually means that improving traffic and lowering emissions is a good thing to do not only in theory but in practice too. Covid provided a field test that would have never been possible in reality.

      I think it helped a tiny bit with people moving around a lot less and the closing down of the economy. I think its biggest effect will be the change it has on society, I think for example people will work from home more now, which will lower the amount of transportation needed and therefore be better for the environment.
