      Sun is very far from earth, in distnace it is equal to 92 million miles or around 150 million km. And one million is equal to 1,000,000 or one thousand thousand. So far and hot.

      Very interesting question.

      The distance is huge! It is 148 million kilometer. This means it is 148,000,000 kilometer! (six zeros).

      Now, image you travel by airplane from Earth to the Sun at a speed of 1,000 kilometer per hour.
      Think how long it will take you to arrive to the Sun?
      To calculate the time, you can use the following formula:

      Distance = Speed * Time
      So, to calculate the time, T = Distance divided by Speed. Time = 148,000,000 / 1,000
      This equals to 148,000 hours!
      What does that mean in terms of days? if the day includes 24 hours, the required number of days is = 148,000/24 = 6,166 days.
      Can you calculate how many years this would be?
      You divide this number by the number of days in a year. That is 365 days.
      Number of years needed to travel to the Sun equals: 6,166/365 = 16.9 years!
