• Question: How fast is the speed of light

      Hi grey49dug,

      The speed of light is 299 792 458 m/s. Fun fact: Some scientists are claiming, that our thoughts can be faster than this speed. Especially they are talking about some unconsciousness processes of thinking or about déjà vu. Well… We don’t have accurate tools to measure it, as well as it all sounds a bit crazy, that our thoughts could be that fast. But its something very interesting to think about 🙂

      Another interesting fact is that speed of light is a fundamental constant! So we have defined that the speed of light must be exactly 299 792 458 meter per second. A meter is therefore defined as the distance light travels in a vaccum in 1 / 299 792 458 of a second!
