      Depends on what type of crystals your are trying to find!

      Technically all mineral grains can be considered crystals. For example if you look at a granite all the different colours are different crystals.

      However, to see nice museum quality crystals you have to look in specific places. The best crystals are usually found in places like caves because the crystals grow slowly so the can get very big. Places nearby/in areas that are mined for minerals (which there are plenty in Ireland) are another place to find nice ones.

      Rare crystals, like diamonds, are really hard to find. People that mine diamonds may never actually see the diamonds, special equipment is used to collect them!
