This is a very difficult question. Especially that it’s not my field of expertise. I think it is hard to answer, because not only science is involved it this issue, but also ethics. Like for example in China already for a few years there is a limitation to only 1 child per family, otherwise parents have to pay for having every extra child etc. But is that really a long term solution? I truly have no idea.
I think we mostly have to help adjust peoples mindset about families and resource management. Usually as people get more educated and have more stable lives they have less kids which will slow the rate of growth and eventually stop it completely. The question is how do we support people with the resoucrses we have available! Thats a tough question that I don’t think we have the answer for.
