      My favorite type of crystals to look at are blue crystals of the mineral azurite or covellite!

      The favorite rocks to work with are metallic rocks that have things like the mineral pyrite in it. The mineral pyrite is cool because it is one of the rare types of crystals you can use to figure out how old a rock is!

      Other really cool rocks are meteorites because not only do they look interesting, they can have some really weird patterns of metal in them, but they tell you so much about the beginning of the solar system.
