Question: What places would you usually find rocks with bits of bone in them?

For bones and shells you need to find sedimentary rocks. Dinosaur bones for example would find them in sandstones of the right age and type, unfortunately you can’t find much of that in Ireland. For ocean fossils you might get lucky in limestones (which Ireland has a lot of!). I believe Country Clare is one place that is known for fossils.
