      The most common rocks in the world are granite rocks! They make a lot of the continent. Granites are super common in Ireland as well. Granites used to be lava that cooled underground.

      At the bottom of the oceans the most common rock are called basalt. Basalt is a type of lava. The lava that the Hawaii volcanoes erupt harden into basalt.
