Bees are indeed an excellent example of very important species for us to survive. Yet, we actually depend a large group of species to survive, other than bees, and this happens because we need services that are directly provided by nature. For example, bees are important because they pollinate plants, so plants can reproduce. Can you imagine how difficult would be to reproduce plants without bees help? Other animals that I would say that are important are the trees because we need them to many purpose (warm up, construction, medicines, etc)

I’d say all species. Humans are impacting on so many natural habitats of other animals. Through deforestation and development, we are putting species at risk and causing some to come into towns and cities for food. We may not understand the worth of a species until it’s gone!

Well there’s a heck of unrecognised work done by ants and when apparently ants turn up more soil than earthworm! The ants are fascinating creatures and without them, our soil would not be aerated and they eat other bugs like fleas and flies. You’ve probably watched armies of ants at work and they move large amounts of waste and essential seeds around so we are indebted to these little fellas. Thankfully they’re not under threat at the moment.
