It is possible because to see a supermoon you need two events to coincide :
You need to have a full moon (which happens every 29.5 days) this is where the moon, Earth and sun all lined up together thus allowing the sun to shine on all of the moon.
The second thing you need is for the moon to be the closer than it normally is to Earth-how does this happen? well, because the moon orbits Earth in an elliptical path, there are points along that orbit that the moon comes as close as possible-and this happened on Nov 14th also.
And yes, these 2 events won’t happen together at same time until 2034
