Question: why is light light

If you mean why is the light we see white, it has to do with what our eye picks out of all the different electromagnetic waves that are around us. For example, animals see the light very differently to us and those that operate at night, see light very differently again. There is a huge range of light waves but we can only see a small fraction of these. When they are viewed altogether, they appear white.
