There is no limit of being smart and intelligent. We barely use a percentage of our brain in our whole life. Most of the gray matter are kept unused….so you can be more smart and intelligent than you think you can be….

In one hand, we can be pretty smart, specially when working well together addressing problems using the scientific method and sound deduction. There’s a limit for brain we often do not experience as we do not use it fully.
In the other hand, I think human’s capabilities are quite limited in some sense, at least at the time and for normal experts, in respect to the “whole science” most of which is undiscovered and even the parts discovered is accompanied by our theoretical/understanding faults and some ambiguities.
We are smart beings and part of being smart is to be wise about one’s limitations and to remain modest about it (and united in addressing the challenges together).
