Question: my favourite planet (not technically a planet its a dwarf planet) is pluto I want to know why it is classified as a dwarf planet is it because there are other dwarf planets that are bigger than pluto in our solar system???

  Pluto has been reclassified as a dwarf planet because it shares its orbit with some other large celestial objects from the Kuiper belt – it has not cleared its orbit of other objects, which is a required characteristic as defined by the International Astronomical Union.
