• Question: Sabine could you explain what funny things your robots do?

      Hello Frapppicno!

      The robots in my lab do a lot of different things! We have a mobile robot that rolls around the lab to bring trays to different areas and it reacts to the presence of people around – and it’s a really funny thing to watch.

      We also have robots that are using sensors and cameras to locate and pick up objects in different positions.
      But my favourite is the robot I programmed to dance on the Star Wars theme music! The robot arm holds a glowing stick (which is supposed represent a light saber…you have to use creativity and a strong power of imagination sometimes!) and dances on the music by moving each part of the arm.
      This robot is usually on display when we have schools visiting us so maybe you can see it if your school comes into our labs!
