So the short answer to this is yes. Basically as the world is thought to be one big ecosystem, made up of smaller, regional ecosystems, all of our actions have consequences, in some way. So just to be clear an ecosystem is made up of all of the living and nonliving things in an area. This includes all of the plants, animals, and other living things that make up the communities of life in an area. If we use too many pesticides in a field, and that field has fruit or nuts growing in it, the bees that pollinate these plants may die. If we use too many fossil fuels or dump plastic in the ocean, we cannot control where those pollutants go… We don’t control the ecosystem or the weather.. wind, tides that move the carbon emissions or plastic around the world. So in the end all animals are impacted by changes in the climate, though some might be better suited to adapt, such as reptiles that like hot and humid climates, but in the end the pollutants, especially plastic and carbon emissions can still kill them or reduce the ecosystem they currently live in. You know in Ireland, we have issues maintaining our populations of native birds and red squirrels, because of invasive species and ecosystem destruction.
