      Absolutely! There are several recorded instances of observed homosexuality in animals ranging from primates all the way down to some species of insect, if you can believe that. In the case of insects, the behaviour is sometimes thought to be the result of a male mistaking another male for a female, but in higher forms it is thought to be a conscious interaction.

      Yes. There have been animals observed to develop homosexual relations with others from their kind.
