• Question: does the universe go on forever?

      Yes, I believe so, but we will never find out because it takes so long for light from these places to reach us!

      I think there are 2 theories- one where the universe (which IS expanding) continues to do so (and every thing ends up alone! and goes on forever) or at some point it will begin contracting and eventually compresses down to another big bang!
