      At the time, I was working mostly on “Buckminster fullerenes” – footballs of carbon, which had been recently discovered!

    At the time I was working on new materials for electronics and optics – more or less what is now in OLED displays. What was very popular at the time was Buckminster Fullerene… footballs of carbon. I was an expert on those!
