      I’m really lucky that in my research I don’t have to choose! I work sometimes in an office and sometimes in the lab. It’s a lovely mix. The clinic work is all done by my colleagues who are doctors, nurses and clinical geneticists. I don’t talk directly to the patients.

      the Lab (although i do spend quite a bit of time shuffling papers at my desk)! working in a clinic can be very tough if you’re not a medical doctor and trained to help people- we work together with clinical people so we get the best from everyone.
