The giant asian hornet has the most venomous sting of any of the wasp/hornets and it’s sting cause severe allrgic reactions but the effect can vary.
A professional golfer was stung 20 times by Asian Hornets in March and survived to post an under par score!

There are many reports worldwide of people dying from multiple stings of bees/hornets but these reports are less common in Ireland. Maybe we should plant some more Sarracenia plants just in case as these prey on the hornets.

The asian hornets that have been reported in europe recently are no more dangerous than our own home grown hornets- although if you are allergic to hornet stings, then this means they are just as deadly!
